Sir A.E. Guinness: Sir Arthur Edward Guiness (1840-1915) was a politician, businessman and philanthropist. He was also the great-grandson of the famous brewer, Arthur Guinness. He is well remembered for his generosity in a number of projects around Ireland . He funded the restoration of Marsh’s Library in Dublin , the extension of the Coombe Women’s Hospital, and the landscaping of Stephen’s Green which he then gave to the people of Dublin .
