The Old Library and The Book of Kells

The Old Library of Trinity College Dublin contains approximately 200,000 of its oldest books in an array of oak bookcases dating from the 18th century and in the Treasury, the Book of Kells, a world famous illuminated gospel and related manuscripts are housed. Trinity College Library was given the right from 1801 to a free copy of every book published in Britain and Ireland.
