Situated on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry, Ionad an Bhlascaoid/The Blasket Centre celebrates the lives, history, community and culture of the Blasket Islands, and the literary & cultural achievements of the Islanders. An Blascaod Mór was evacuated in 1953 due to a population decline bringing an end to an unique island community.

The Centre includes av presentations (available in 8 languages), interactive displays on fishing, farming, island life, emigration and literature, a bookshop, restaurant, archive and library.
