The Cork Opera House is the only purpose built Opera House in the country.  It has been part of the cultural and social life of the city since 1855 and seeks to serve its city and surrounding region as a municipal theatre, offering its audiences a world class programme of events across all disciplines in the performing arts. The 1000-seat complex with its corporate boxes, lounges, café and shop, resides at the very heart of Cork’s cultural and social life.
