Celtic and Prehistoric Museum

The Celtic and Prehistoric Museum houses a large permanent collection of  Stone Age, Bronze Age, Celtic Iron Age, Anglo Saxon and Viking material. These objects come from diverse mainland European contexts as well as Britain and Ireland. There are also many fine fossils, including the largest complete Woolly Mammoth skull and tusks in the world, a complete fossil dinosaur egg nest (hadrosaurus), a complete juvenile dinosaur skeleton in original matrix (psitticosaurus), and a complete Cave Bear skeleton.
