Historic Houses

One section of Form A in the survey was reserved for notes on any historic houses in the area, especially birthplaces, residences or former residences of distinguished Irishmen.

Only one such house was deemed worthy of inclusion in the Achill survey - Corrymore House, on the site of which once stood the residence of Captain Boycott.
