Tullow

The Tullow Cycling and Athletic Sports were scheduled to be held in Tullow on Wednesday, August 2nd 1899. They were held under the patronage of D.H. Doyne, Esquire, Colonel J.J.H. Eustace and N.F. Archdale, Esquire.

The event was held on a specially prepared grass track. The band of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers were engaged to provide musical entertainment. Other attractions highlighted in the advertisement were "Ireland's Crack Cyclists" and "Splendid Athletes".

Admission to the enclosure was set at one shilling and admission to the field was six pence.
