Lough Ree Rowing Club was officially launched on 30th March 2001, and is based at the Car Park in Lanesborough, County Longford.

If you are interested and over the age of 12, you are very welcome to try and see if rowing is what you have been looking for. It is also a great way to meet new people and make new friends! Everyone is welcome and age doesn't matter!

Experienced rowers will provide instruction.

Rowing sessions take place on Saturday mornings at the Car Park, commencing at 10.30am.

Lough Ree Rowing Club is affiliated to the Amateur Irish Rowing Union of Ireland.

On Sunday the 25th April, 2004 the Connaught Schools Championships Regatta takes place in Lanesborough. This Regatta is held under the auspices of the Irish Amateur Rowing Union (IARU). Come along to Lanesborough with all the family on that day for an outing with a difference! Local schools taking part are from Roscommon Town, Longford Town and Lanesboro. All the local crews are competing against schools from all over Connaught!
