Chickens really can be a delight to keep. They are relatively inexpensive to buy, feed and look after, and they provide the freshest eggs for a variety of meals as well as your favourite baking recipes!
When it comes to a spot of outdoor spring cleaning, chickens can be a great asset. They will happily eat garden weeds and pests, such as slugs and sometimes mice. Even their droppings are an excellent fertiliser for the ground.
All chickens need is fresh food, water and a coop that provides shelter from the elements and predators.
Read on and see how easy it is to build a build a coop and keep some chickens!
