Barnacles

In the puddles
Beside the sea,
Live little creatures
As small as can be.

"We’re called the barnacle,
As sure as sure,
We cling to rocks
Along the sea shore.

A bit like crabs,
We hide in our shells,
To only come out
When the tide swells.

We reach out our legs
With each passing tide,
To capture small creatures
With no place to hide".
