What are Scientists?
Scientists are people who study the world around them and try to answer these questions. They also discover and invent new things.
They sometimes use special tools, such as stopwatches and microscopes, to help them measure and study things.
How Do Scientists Work?
Scientists usually want to find out something so they start by asking a question. They then guess what the answer might be. Then they do a test to see if their answer was right. If they are wrong they need to think up other ideas and then try out these other ideas.
If they are right then they might ask more questions in order to find out more and then do more tests.
