Desktop Backgrounds

Choose an ENFO desktop background to download for your computer! Our current themes include wildlife and scenery. The images are courtesy of An Chomhairle Leabharlanna and John Kennedy, Department of the Environment, Community & Local Government.

If you would like to contribute any of your own environment-themed photo(s) to ENFO for inclusion, please email info@enfo.ie and a member of the ENFO team will reply to you.

A Note on Screen Savers

Consider the environment when choosing your computer settings: don’t use a screen saver. Despite common belief, they are not energy-savers and can actually use more energy in some cases than normal processing. To help conserve energy and reduce your greenhouse gas emissions, please remember to set your screen saver option to ‘None’. Simply right-click on your desktop, and select ‘Screen Saver’ or ‘Personalise’ where you can alter your settings.
