Opening of Beltubet Library: our newest service is all about the users

Belturbet Library was officially opened by Minister Phil Hogan on Friday 9th May

At the centre of celebrations during the Opening of the Belturbet Library and Civic Centre, were some very special guests....

Shay McDonald, son of Justin and Marianne McDonald, our youngest and first new member of the new library checking out some books with Branch Librarians Mary Prior and Jacqueline Magennis (pictured above).

James McMorrow, the winner of our social media competition 'Beturbet Library's First Book', was also at the launch. Noeleen Shannon nominated her son to place the book 'We are Writers' on the library shelves. This book is a collection of creative writing, written and compiled by all the pupils of the Convent of Mercy N.S.
