The three Fs were the chief aims of the Land League. They can be summarised as follows:
- Fair rent: an end to rack-renting, which was the charging of extremely high rents, so as to allow tenant farmers to remain working their lands.
- Fixity of tenure: the ability of tenant farmers to stay on their lands without threat of eviction.
- Free sale: the granting of the right to farmers to work towards full ownership of the lands they tilled.
