Seán Dunne was born in St. John's Park in Waterford in 1956. He was a poet, author, essayist, journalist and editor. He contributed to more than three hundred books and journals, an extraordinary work rate for a writer so young.

Seán showed great breadth of learning in his work yet he got great enjoyment from the celebration of the ordinary. He was a gifted thinker and writer. Seán died on 3rd of August 1995.
