The James Hardiman Library Archives Service was established in June 1998 to look after the archive holdings of the James Hardiman Library. The archives service is also seen as pivotal in strenghtening links between NUI, Galway and the wider community. Through the accession, preservation and making accessible of archival material the archives service supports scholarship at NUI, Galway.
