Sligo County Library

Sligo Public Library service is the second oldest public Library service in Ireland, having been established in 1880.  The Library Service aims to act as a focal point for community activity in the areas of culture, heritage and education through the use of exhibitions, activities and cultural events.  It maintains a comprehensive adult and juvenile lending library service to the community of Sligo and its hinterland as well as providing an extensive range of information services free of charge.
