Tullow Museum

Tullow Museum on Bridge Street, Tullow, is run voluntarily by Tullowphelim Historical Society. It contains a wide range of historical items such as the personal effects of Carlow-born world famous Antarctic explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. There are also personal items of the Irish patriot Fr. John Murphy of Boulavogue who was one of the leaders of the 1798 rebellion and executed in Tullow town centre. Other items include photographs, journals and much more from Tullow's history.
