Ballitore Quaker Museum

The Mary Leadbeater House in the centre of Ballitore village incorporates both the local Community Library as well as a Quaker and Folklife Museum. The Museum is the only one in Ireland dedicated to the Quaker Heritage in the local context. Some of the Museum exhibits include a Quaker wedding dress and bonnet that belonged to Jane Marion Richardson who married in 1853. While in the Museum, visit the garden which features a lifesize sculpture of Mary Leadbeater.
