Kiltimagh Railway Museum

Kiltimagh Station was established in 1894, first on the Athlone/Sligo line and later the Limerick/Sligo line. For much of the 20th century until passenger services ended in 1960s and goods services ended in the 1980s, the railway was the link between Kiltimagh and the outside world. It was also the sad scene of generations of emigration. The museum is located in the converted Goods Station while the Station Master's House is now an Art Centre.
