Granstown Manor

Granstown Manor, Ballacolla

Granstown Manor in Ballacolla, near Rathdowney, was built in around 1800 by the Drought family, who named it Oldglass House. Granstown Manor later became the home of Lord Castletown.

Granstown Manor in Ballacolla, near Rathdowney, which was partially burned down some years ago, was formerly the home of Lord Castletown, whose family name was Fitzpatrick.




Before being purchased by the Fitzpatricks, it was owned by the White family. It was built in around 1800 by the Drought family, who called it Oldglass House
