Baboró also works with Irish-based artists to develop their skills and to develop the arts in Ireland. Baboró provides a platform for Irish-based companies to showcase their work to Irish and International audiences. Baboró is a registered charity whose Mission Statement is: To inspire children to engage with the world through their experience of the arts Baboró 2012 runs from October 15th to 21st, and promises to engage and entertain, to excite and inspire, with a full programme of events for children and families from 6 months upwards!

Ennis Book Club Festival
The Ennis Book Club Festival is a wonderful social and literary gathering bringing together book club members and readers from all over Ireland and beyond. Supported by Clare County Library, the festival includes author readings, discussions, workshops and walking tours through the narrow streets and lanes of Ennis. There are sessions on running book clubs and advice on reading lists, chocolate tastings, events as Gaeilge and an opportunity to compare notes and meet with other Book Club members.Further information about the festival is available on the book club festival website.

As well as containing an extensive collection of secondary source material the Local Studies Department includes many original sources such as Griffith's Valuation, the Ordnance Survey Maps of the county, the Tithe Applotment Books, photographs from the Lawrence Collection, Rentals from the Marquis of Drogheda and Verschoyle Estates, a valuable collection of Quaker Manuscripts etc. It has newspapers dating from 1763 on microfilm and the 1901 and 1911 Census.

Housed in a beautiful 19th Century Courthouse building overlooking the river Shannon, THE DOCK houses an intimate theatre space with regular performances of music, theatre, comedy and more; three art galleries with regular exhibitions showcasing the best of local, national and international work; workshop spaces with a wide variety of classes and workshops for all ages; artists’ studios, and the Leitrim Design House, a retail gallery showcasing work from local artists and designers.

Solstice Arts Centre is located in Navan, Co. Meath and offers a broad range of quality local, national and international artistic activities including theatre, music, exhibitions and film. Solstice boosts a 320 seat theatre, three gallery spaces finished to the highest professional standards and studio space. Opened in April 2006, Solstice Arts Centre is kindly supported by Meath County Council and the Arts Council.
