Fort Dunree
Fort Dunree is located about seven miles north of Buncrana in the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal. The site is situated along the shores of Lough Swilly commanding a majestic view of the Lough and its shorelines.

Lifetime Lab @ Old Cork Waterworks
Lifetime Lab @ Old Cork Waterworks, Lee Road, Cork, Co. Cork. Lifetime lab is in a scenic location on the River Lee. The Old Cork Waterworks supplied water to the city of Cork for hundreds of years and is the most complete of its type in the country. It contains interactive exhibitions in the old restored industrial buildings with original plant. The exhibits are aimed at all ages while there is also a theme playground for youngsters.

The interior of a thatched house at Knock Museum, Co. Mayo. In the 19th century the overwhelmingly Catholic tenants of Co. Mayo lived simply in thatch dwellings heated by turf fires.

The religious artefacts at the museum include vestments, rosary beads, crucifixes, chalices etc. Of particular note are the gold thread inlay vestments presented to the College by the Empress of Austria.

Cobh Museum
To commemorate the 100th anniversary since the Titanic’s visit to Queenstown (Cobh) and her ill fated disaster, there will be a new exhibition on the ordinary life in Queenstown (Cobh) during the Titanic’s visit and will include many previously unseen artefacts including the unique and highly sought after Harbour Pilots Log. The exhibition titled "Titanic Reflections and Reactions Queenstown 1912" and will run daily from mid-March to October 2012.

Statue of IRA Leader Sean Russell (1893-1940)
At Cashel Folk Museum the World War II-era IRA leader Sean Russell (1893-1940) is commemorated. During the Second World War, while the Irish Free State remained neutral and many Irishmen fought on the Allied side, Sean Russell sought German support for the political unification of Ireland. He died aboard a German U-boat and was buried at sea off the coast of Co. Galway.

Interior of Greyfriars Municipal Art Gallery
Housed in a late Victorian gothic style church used by the Methodists until 1973, Greyfriars Municipal Art Gallery is home to the Waterford Municipal Art Collection, which includes paintings by Jack B. Yeats, Paul Henry, Evie Hone, and Louis Le Brocquy. Exhibitions based on a selection of municipal artworks are displayed throughout the year. Contemporary art shows are occasionally displayed.

Kilbeggan Distillery Experience
The Kilbeggan Distillery is the oldest distillery in the world, dating back to 1757 and the home of Kilbeggan Irish whiskey. The Kilbeggan Distillery Experience offers a unique opportunity to see a fully operational traditional Irish pot still whiskey distillery, while enjoying a historical tour of the old distillery which includes the waterwheel and original distilling machinery. The old distillery has been maintained as a museum just as it was during John Locke's ownership in the 19th century. The current distillery contains the oldest working pot still in the world and has a cooperage on show for all visitors. With guided tours or the opportunity to explore at your own leisure, each tour ends with a complimentary sample of the award winning Kilbeggan Irish whiskey. Open year around and weekends with a whiskey bar, gift shop, free car and coach parking and restaurant. A visit to Kilbeggan Distillery is a unique experience not to be missed!

National Maritime Museum of Ireland
