Of Lisreaghan; Born 1st December 1793, died 21st December 1873; Son of Walter Lawrence of Lisreaghan by his wife Catherine Darcy, daughter of John Darcy, of Ballykine, County Mayo, and Margaret his wife, widow of Charles Blake, of Moyne and Coolcun, County Mayo, and third daughter of Denis Daly of Raford and the Lady Ann De Burgh, his wife, eldest daughter of Michael, 10th Earl of Clanricarde, sister of Letitia, mother of John first Baron Clanmorris, and of Anastatia, wife of Sir George Browne, sixth Baronet, of the Neale, Co. Mayo. Mr Lawrence married 1st of March 1813, Georgiana, his first Cousin, third daughter of Charles Blake, of Merlin Park, County Galway, and Coolcun and Moyne, County Mayo. A Fresco on the left hand panel in the Aurora Hall, at Lawrencetown, County Galway, 1760, after Pictro Da Cortona in the Capitol at Rome, Born, 1596, Died 1669, Right background a Temple; Left background columns of a Temple with statue of Neptune; Centre background on Obelisk, trees, etc., man, in act of lifting a woman; in centre behind an old man clasps a woman in his arms as if to protect her; right corner foreground a man lifting up a woman; next him a man carrying off a woman; left background, near columns a group of soldiers. This Fresco occupies the upper portion of the south wall of the Aurora Hall, 20 feet long by 15 feet high. There are other Fresco's on the lower portion of this wall. The colossal Busts are Casts from the Vatican Original at Rome, brought over by the late Mr Lawrence. Transcribed from the Lawrence Family Album.

A Fresco on the front panel in the Aurora Hall, at Lawrencetown, County Galway, 1760, after Ruben in the Capitol at Rome, Born 1577, Died 1646. The Wolf in centre of picture with the children; to the left allegorical figure of the Tiber, reclining on a water-spout from which the river flows; centre of background a tree; to right of tree a woman; to left of tree a woman's face. A Bird files towards the children with cherries in its mouth. Like the left panel this Fresco measures twenty feet in length by fifteen feet in height. Transcribed from the Lawrence Family Album.
