Situated on the tip of the Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry, Ionad an Bhlascaoid/The Blasket Centre celebrates the lives, history, community and culture of the Blasket Islands, and the literary & cultural achievements of the Islanders. An Blascaod Mór was evacuated in 1953 due to a population decline bringing an end to an unique island community.
