WAR DECORATIONS
Second-Lieutenant (temporary Captain) Vere Brabazon, Viscount Duncannon, has received a French war decoration, the Croix d'Officier of the Legion d'Honneur.
RECOMMENDED FOR MILITARY MEDAL
Mr. D. Shanahan, coach builder, Main street, Carrick-on-Suir, has reeived the following letter from Adjt. A. Charles Hall, 47 Trench Mortar Battery, France :-
Sir - Your letter to hand. I am directed to inform you that your son, Private Paddy Shanahan, will be granted leave very soon. You will be glad to hear that he performed an act of great gallantry three days ago, for which he has been recommended the Military Medal.
