Temperature and precipitation projections
The maps below show the projected changes in temperature and precipitation for the four seasons for 2041-2060 relative to 1981-2000 for the RCP4.5 and 8.5 emissions scenarios. Temperatures are increasing across all seasons in both scenarios, with higher increases in RCP 8.5. Increases in winter precipitation can be seen, particularly on the western seaboard and southern regions, while a decrease in precipitation is evident in spring and summer.
