In the past, because there was lots of work on farms and big estates, more people lived in the country. Over the last 50 years, more farming has been done by machines, so there are less people working on farms. There are now more jobs in towns and cities. So, more people live in towns and cities. They live in lots of different types and sizes of homes. We will look at the way our largest city, Dublin, has changed over time.
