©Waterford City CouncilPlaygrounds can be one of the most important places for children outside the home. When you play games at a playground, it helps you to become stronger and more flexible.
Playgrounds also allow you to meet other children safely, have fun and make lots of friends.
Over the years, playgrounds have changed a lot. Twenty years ago, the see saws, climbing frames and monkey bars were made from metal. Today, modern plastic is used, because it is safer.
Do you have a playground at your school or one close by? How often do you go to the playground? What is your favourite game in the playground?
