Dalkey Island from Loreto
Dalkey Island is a small island of twenty-two acres, located 300 metres away from the Dalkey coastline. It is of historical and archaeological importance and many artefacts have been found there. There is evidence that it was inhabited 6,000 years ago. It was also used by Vikings as a base. Dalkey Island is considered a great place for fishing, sailing and diving. It is located only five minutes from the harbour by boat.
