D. N. MundyTrains were a very important type of transport for the people of Tipperary in the past. Today, there are only a few railway lines left in use, but years ago there were many more.
The trains that travelled through Tipperary in the past brought goods to many towns and villages throughout the county. They were used to transport heavy goods, such as barrels, bags of cement and fertilizer for farms.
