When the rebellion failed, he was caught. Anne was questioned by the authorities, but she refused to tell them anything about him.
Before she died, Anne dictated her life story. She told details of how badly she was treated in prison.
Anne Devlin had a hard life. She is remembered in history because, through her loyalty and high ideals, she was not afraid to suffer for what she believed in. However, she played many roles in her life. She was a skilled and trustworthy revolutionary, a working woman and a wife and mother.
