Shankill-Bray Bypass
A team of sixty construction workers and fourteen engineers formed the workforce behind the six-kilometre stretch of motorway which heralded dramatic changes in traffic patterns in South Dublin and County Wicklow. Four bridges are the most noticeable features. These are located at Stonebridge, Crinken, Wilford and Old Connaught. Great care was taken not to obstruct the spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The dual carriageway runs from Donnybrook in Dublin to Kilpedder in Wicklow.
