The biggest class in 1921 was the infants, presided over by Brother Antonio.
Among the infants were Jack Doyle, Brennie Scanlon, Malachy Griffin, Hadgy Murphy and other boys who later gained fame at rugby when they won the Leinster Junior Cup in 1930 and the Senior Cup in 1932.
This success put the school on the map and established a tradition of achievement for later generations of pupils to aspire to.
