There is a lot of circular movement as the Moon spins around as it orbits the Earth while the Earth revolves around the Sun! The Moon is called a natural satellite of the Earth.

You may have heard that there is no sound on the Moon (because there is no air there to pass on the sound vibrations), but… there is gravity there.
The Moon is much smaller than the Earth – it is about the same width as Australia - and it is not nearly as heavy as the Earth. So gravity is much weaker there. In fact, it is only about one-sixth of gravity on Earth.
Can you imagine what it would be like if you were on the Moon? How high do you think you could jump?
