Discover Science Centres
There are many Centres all over Ireland where you can go and explore different kinds of science. Most of them are inter-active – that means that you learn by doing things in them. You can find out more about them on their websites before you go there. Some of you may have been to some of them on a school trip.

Astronomy
Armagh Planetarium, College Hill, Armagh
Go into a dome where you explore the cosmos, and learn about space and space exploration.
Birr Castle, Co. Offaly
An indoor science centre; also an exploration of the grounds and giant telescope and a very old suspension bridge.
Blackrock Castle Observatory, Blackrock, Cork
There is an astronomy exhibition centre here and also a very modern cinema. There are lots of things to do to explore space.
