Activity 2: Drawing a Room in Perspective
- Take an A4/A3 sheet and turn it to landscape position (horizontal)
- Draw a diagonal line joining the top left corner with the bottom right and the top right to the bottom left
- Draw a horizontal line across the top and then drop a vertical line. Repeat this on the other side creating a rectangle
- Rub out the line in the middle but don’t rub out the vanishing point*
- Use the vanishing point to draw windows and doors in perspective
*Vanishing point: the point where all of the perspective (diagonal) lines meet. It is the point toward which receding parallel lines appear to converge.
