Minute Book Carlow Union, 1846 - Cover
A typical cover from the Minute Book of the Carlow Union Board of Guardians for the period March 27th 1845 to January 8th 1846. It is one of a set of complete minutes beginning on March 29th 1845 and ending on 10th March 1923. In all, there are one hundred and thirty volumes of Minute Books (including rough minute books) for the Carlow Union. The cover shown is from the first extract Minute Book of Carlow Union Board of Guardians. The first "State of the Union Report" was dated 22nd March 1845.
