Minutes of last meeting read -
Resolved that Messers Gunne and Camerons account amounting to two pounds six shillings and six pence for valuation be paid.
The following letter was directed to be addressed to Mr. Otway in reply to his of the 4th June 1842.
Sir,
I am directed by the Board of Guardians to state to you that in consequence of your letter of the 4th June stating that it was not likely that the Board of Trinity College and the Earl of Leitrim would come to terms with the Guardians for a site for the Poor House at Drumbarn and recommending that they should select some other site for the approval of the Commissioners.

The Board of Guardians accordingly recommend to the notice of the Commissioners six acres of the lands of Glen Keen belonging to Nathanial Stewart Esq. within one mile of Milford as an eligible situation and also the same quantity of Land on the Estate of Babtist Barton Esq. at Lag a few perches further from the Town the latter can be had either on Leas or by Purchase - the former will be set but the proprietor cannot yet say whether he will sell or not. - The Address of Mr. Stewart is Shelfield, Rathmelton and Mr. Barton is at present in Dublin, can be met at his Agents Mr. Robert Murdoch, Eccles Street, Dublin. -
Resolved that the Board adjurn to Monday July 4th at Noon.
