An Fionnán
Tá gais shreangacha agus duilleoga guaireacha ag an bhféar seo a bharrchaolaíonn go pointe. Bíonn éagsúlacht san airde ó 15-120cm agus d’fhéadfadh sé fás ina dtoim mhóra. Bíonn bláthanna le feiceáil i Lúnasa agus Meán Fómhair - bíonn dath corcra ar na spící. Athraíonn na duilleoga go hórdhonn i rith an fhómhair agus breathnaíonn siad cosúil le tuí.
Purple Moor Grass
This grass has wiry stems and hairy leaves tapering to a point. It varies in height from 15-120cm and may form large clumps. Flowers appear in August and September and the spikes are purple. In autumn the leaves turn golden brown and look like straw.
