An Gabhlán Gaoithe
Is minic a fheictear na gabhláin ghaoithe tráthnóna samhraidh agus iad ag scréachaíl ar fud na spéire ag bailiú feithidí. Filleann siad anseo ón Afraic i mí na Bealtaine le dul i mbun goir agus bailíonn siad leo arís i lár mhí Lúnasa. Tá cosa laga acu agus ar an ábhar sin seachnaíonn siad an talamh. Is ó áiteanna arda amháin is féidir leo dul ag eitilt de ghnáth.
Swift
Swifts are a familiar sight in summer evenings, screeching around the sky gathering insects. They return here from Africa each May to breed, departing by mid-August. They avoid landing on the ground as their legs are so weak, they can generally only take off from high places.
