Bíonn an damhán seo an-ghníomhach i ngairdíní le linn mhí Mheán Fómhair. Sníomhann sé líon cruinneogach cosúil le roth lasmuigh d’fhuinneog agus fanann sé ina lár. Ní amháin go n-itheann na damháin gharraí cuileoga beaga ach cuireann sé greim thapa i bhféileacáin agus i bhfoichí a théann i bhfostú ina líonta agus maraíonn sé iad.
Garden Spider
This common spider is very active in gardens in September. It spins a wheellike orb web on the outside of windows and waits in the centre. Besides smaller flies, garden spiders will quickly bite and kill butterflies and wasps that become ensnared in their webs.
