Is de shliocht na gcolúr aille a chónaíonn ar aillte farraige iad na colúir uirbeacha atá againn. Póraíonn siad ar leaca agus colbhaí foirgneamh agus dhá ubh a bhíonn acu sa nead. Bíonn an rath orthu mar speiceas uirbeach toisc go mbíonn suas le ceithre ál acu sa bhliain. Is breá leo rudaí crua a bheith acu mar fharaí - níl rud is fearr leo ná cloigeann deilbh!
Pigeon
Urban pigeons are descended from the wild rock doves of sea cliffs. They breed on building ledges, laying two eggs per brood. Up to four broods per year make pigeons a successful urban species. They like perching on hard spots – statues’ heads are a favourite!
