As part of this project a remembrance service for those that died in the First Great War took place in the Church of the Assumption Thomastown on Friday 28th November and the work of the first year students of Grennan College was displayed in the church during this service.

John’s Quay Library

A beautiful exhibition of paintings by Waterford artists Emily Moore and Suzanne Carroll are currently on display in the City Library, John’s Quay. The 14 stunning pieces have been created in a range of styles, and are available for sale at prices ranging from €35-€55.

Emily’s love for art has grown over the past 7 years. Having begun with an interest in abstract art, she has now progressed onto pop art style. Emily’s style is full of vibrancy and colours, and she finds the work very therapeutic.

Suzanne has been painting for the past 5 years, and her inspiration comes from the beauty that’s around her, and she expresses it in an abstract form. She enjoys painting on canvases, and, like Emily, uses uses colour to express positive emotions in her work.
