The Chief State Solicitor's Office is seeking to recruit a high calibre Knowledge Management Officer. The role will require the ability to develop and manage knowledge management systems appropriate to a modern law office and to lead knowledge management initiatives across the organisation. A panel may be formed from which future vacancies may be filled. The wide remit of the civil business of the CSSO means that staff are involved in many aspects of legal work including civil litigation in all courts (including the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg) as well as in the provision of conveyancing, property law and general advisory services for an array of public service clients.

Qualifications The successful candidate must, on or before 6th May 2015, have:

A primary degree in law or a degree in another discipline plus a post-graduate qualification in law;

OR

A primary degree in any discipline plus a professional qualification in library/information science.

AND

- 3-5 years experience in an information/knowledge management role in a complex legal environment
- Strong IT skills, in particular familiarity with online technologies and their potential to enhance information and knowledge management
- Experience in employing specialist legal applications such as case management and knowledge management/know-how systems
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in website and/or intranet content management
- Demonstrate project management skills.
