An Irish Repository – Jackie Clarke Collection
Mayoman Jackie Clarke (1927-2000) collected over 100,000 items, many assumed to be lost to history, including surviving examples of publications, pamphlets, manuscripts, writings and much more from the history of County Mayo. They date from the 1600s to the year of Clarke's death. The impressive collection constitutes one of the most important of Irish interest in the world and was donated to the Irish state by his widow.
