What to Contribute

At present, Europeana seeks to provide information about, and links to, digital objects across Europe. A digitial object is a photo or painting, a document, article, letter or book, some music or other sound, a video, etc. 

At present (early 2011) Europeana does not accept compound objects (e.g. web pages with images and text combined), but would prefer to receive information about each object on a given page. 

Obviously, Europeana would prefer to receive information and metadata about items that are likely to be of interest to end users. So "masterpieces" and culturally-important items are preferred to pages of catalogue records, or other very specialised items.
