Dalkey Castle And Heritage Centre
Travel back in time to the 1500s with Dalkey Castle’s Living History actors and experience the work of the archer with the longbow and sharp arrows and how he defends the castle from attack. You can hear about ancient remedies and the implements for curing all ailments.
The battlements offer panoramic views of sea and mountains. There is also an early Christian church and graveyard, dedicated to Saint Begnet. The modern Heritage Centre charts early Christian through Viking, Medieval, Victorian and modern times in Dalkey (available in 12 languages).
