Dublin City Hall
Dublin City Hall was built in the late 18th century in the Georgian style and was originally the Royal Exchange. It was purchased by Dublin Corporation and renamed Dublin City Hall in 1852. During the 1916 Easter Rising it was the scene of fierce fighting between rebels and British forces. The building was restored in the early 2000s. Visitors can avail of a guided tour with audio guides and leaflets in English, Irish, German, Spanish, Italian and French. A culture trail includes other buildings and historical sites in Dublin city.
