St. Audeon's Church
St. Audeon is a medieval church close to the ancient Christchurch cathedral and is the only remaining parish church in Dublin. Named after St. Ouen who was the 7th century bishop of Rouen, France and patron saint of Normandy, it is footprint of the 12th century Norman invasion of Ireland. The Guild of St. Anne hosts an award winning exhibition on the church and its part in the history of the city. Today the church is still in use by the Church of Ireland. There are memorials to the Sparke and Duff families and a tomb with effigies of Baron Porlester and his wife from the 15th century.
